Vernewell Group announces its participation as a strategic partner in the Quantum Balkan Initiative (QBI), a high-level institutional platform that will be officially inaugurated on April 24, 2026, in Tirana, Republic of Albania.
The Initiative is led by the Institute for Advanced Studies and Cooperation (IASC), under the leadership of Sir Prof. Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli, through its global platform World Changers, and convened in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Albania. It establishes a coordinated framework to advance quantum technologies across Southeast Europe, bringing together governments, academia, industry, and international stakeholders .
The founding ceremony will take place at the Polytechnic University of Tirana and will convene ministers, institutional representatives, academic leaders, and global industry actors. The programme will include keynote addresses, thematic discussions on quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and investment, as well as a strategic roundtable dedicated to the development of the Balkan quantum ecosystem .
The event will open with welcome remarks by Sir Prof. Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli, President of IASC, alongside institutional leadership, followed by a keynote address by H.E. Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Albania .
Mrs. Malak Trabelsi Loeb, Founder and President of Vernewell Group, has joined the Quantum Balkan Initiative as Chief Strategy Officer, contributing to the definition of its strategic direction and overall positioning.
She will deliver a keynote address focused on the development of regional initiatives and the structuring of quantum ecosystems across multiple jurisdictions. Her intervention will draw on Vernewell Group’s experience in advancing cross-border programs and building integrated platforms, highlighting tangible outcomes and implementation pathways. The keynote will also provide an overview of the United Arab Emirates’ quantum innovation landscape, offering insights into how coordinated institutional efforts, industry engagement, and strategic execution contribute to the emergence of a dynamic and globally connected ecosystem.

A formal institutional moment will mark the signing of the founding act of the Initiative and the opening of its permanent presence in Tirana, followed by a high-level diplomatic Gala Dinner at the Palace of Brigades, bringing together international partners, decision-makers, and representatives from across sectors .
